I made it!!! I LOVE Paris...

After literally 24 hours of travel, and NO sleep on the plane, I arrived in the beautiful city of Paris! Words cannot describe how I instantly fell in love with this city!

I checked into my hotel: Hotel de la Paix, Paris, which is less than a 5 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower! I like my room- top floor, cute french windows opening to a courtyard, however my room and BED are miniature! I haven't slept in a twin since I was 5...oh well, I'll be SO tired every day, I'll pass out in my little twinny.

Enough with that boring stuff...

...after getting settled into my room, despite being EXHAUSTED I forced myself to go out and experience Paris (the idea- stay awake ALL day, and go to bed at night so I'll be on Paris time).

First stop, the Eiffel Tower of course! Again, it was such a brief walk from my hotel, I almost couldn't believe it. After taking a million pictures and staring at the Tower in awe, I decided to purchase a ticket for 13.1 euros and head to the top- that's right I took the elevator to the top of the Tower, and again words cannot describe the incredible views. Paris is breathtakingly stunning.

After enjoying the top of the Tower, I went down to the bottom and got the most YUMMY ham and swiss cheese baguette for 4.5 euros- next I walked to the Siene River and ate my sandwich watching the boats pass by.

Since I was no longer hungry, and still wanted to explore, I bought a 5 day Batobus pass for 20 euros- which gives me unlimited access to the boat on the Siene! I took a 1 1/2 hour cruise on the Siene and saw: 1) Musee d' Orsay, 2) Notre Dame- I literally cried when I saw it, 3) the Louve, and 4) Champs Elysees just to name a few. I can't wait to explore all of these incredible places...

I took a TON of pics, and some video too- the highlights are attached to this post!

I am off to bed because I am truly exhausted, and I have an early morning 4 hour Segway tour to rest up for. BTW- I realized that even if I was old enough to rent a Vespa, there is NO WAY I would ever be brave enough to ride one in Paris...let's just leave it at that! A Segway is as crazy as I am getting...

Hope everyone is well. Miss you all, especially Dave and Coco! ;) But still missing you all...

xoxo- Tiffany
I almost forgot...two additional notes: 1) I look horrendous in the above pic because it was taken after 24 hours of travel, and 48 hours without sleep, and 2) I want to give a shout out to Parisians- French people have a bad rep of being "rude" to Americans. Of all the contries I have visited abroad, the French BY FAR have been the friendliest, and most helpful- I even had a taxi driver give me a free ride because he felt sorry for me when I got lost for 45 minutes...I feel a connection even more to my French heritage! :)
